Picking Apples on the Farm

My Aunt Carol asked mom to come over to the farm and pick some apples and tomatoes. I went along too as I love visiting the place (my grandparents farm), where I have so many happy childhood memories.

They have a small grove that contains Gala, Jonathan, Red Delicious, and Golden Delicious trees.

Mom, as usual, did most of the work.

After we finished picking apples, we headed for the tomato patch. It was a beautiful time to be at the farm.

Amber waves of grain.

The corn is ready.

I remember when my Uncle Al put in these fir trees 30-40 years ago. They are beautiful, a mini-forest, and serve as a nice wind break.

Beautiful flowers in early October.

One of several young, shy kitties on the farm.

Can you see the kitty hiding among the merigolds?

God's bounty is truly amazing.
