Welcome to The Year of Living Covidly!

Wicked Wanda, a hill we jog at Bradley Park.

We are living in strange times, which need to be documented. The Year of Living Covidly will be our        contribution.

Who:

John, Maria, and Luke Carroll, an All-American family in Peoria, Illinois. John is a physician                      who travels to Haiti frequently and through their program, Haitian Hearts, brings people to the                  good, ole United States for heart surgery and other medical care. Maria helps John with Haitian Hearts,      serves as the development director of St. Mark's School, is the mom of Luke, and does as little cooking      as possible. Luke is a senior at Peoria Notre Dame. He loves hanging out with his friends, dancing,            sports, and theater.

What:

A chronicle of the normal and not-so-normal things going on in these COVID times.

When:

2020-2021, a year of a pandemic, a presidential election, and senior year in high school

Where:

Peoria, Illinois and wherever the spirit takes us.

How:

One of the wonderful features of the information age/Internet is that we can all have a platform. For          free! This blog is ours.

Why:

To tell the stories of these pandemic times and also to post some of the photos I take daily on my phone.
